Ya, at the time we had just almost gotten Schiano or that NC State guy. That Leach had a recognizable name and several winning seasons on his record made him clearly superior to the shit we were almost made to swallow. No one thought he was going to come in and be General Neyland, and pretty much everyone was happier with Pruitt's hire IMMEDIATELY. Gloating about Leach is like taunting a starving child for their snack choice based on the first random fistful of food they could reach.

 

I actually meant not with people here, but I wouldn't rather have him over those other guys by much. He'd win enough to keep some happy, but not enough to do anything. I was never enanored with what he brought. I suppose pre-Heavy we weren't going to get much anyway.

 

Go back and look, it was grim as one could possibly imagine... Actually, more grim. That NC State guy was a low that has been overshadowed because it was such a brief episode in the saga.
