Yeah Juventus breaking the bank for CR7 hasn’t been what they expected either

And Messi is not the same type of player as CR7. I think age is going to affect Messi much more.

Messi is definitely all about mobility

That came from nowhere. Damn, we could have a lineup with players from Chelsea, Ajax (or wherever Dest goes), Juventus, Leipzig, Dortmund and a few other EPL and Bundesliga squads. I didn't think I'd every see us get so high profile.

Eh, he might, might, be punching above his weight at Juventus, but Southampton? If he can be a regular starter at Schalke, then he can play there, too. McKennie is a hard working mid who is very good in the air and decent otherwise. You don't build around him, but he can be a nice piece to work with.

As someone who is a big fan of Weston, I doubt very seriously he has much of an impact at Juventus. I just hope he is like a sponge around Pirlo, but this is a move to sell some kits in a desperate time, and if it works out, then its a bonus. Low risk for all parties as well, so not a bad move either way.

Apparently the option to buy is mandatory if Juve makes the Champions League. Can't see them agreeing to that if they didn't see something in him and weren't ready to play him so hopefully it's good news

It’s an obligation if he appears in 60% of the matches.
It will be interesting to see what further additions they make in midfield, because it has been trash the past couple of seasons

That was the deal earlier today, what I posted is allegedly the new terms.

haven't seen that anywhere. i can't imagine Juve would make that a condition. they've won the league 9 times in a row

Milan get Shamrock Rovers in their first UEL qualifier. That actually sounds fun. Wish I could go. Thanks Obama.

How can that be financially viable? Do they care or is getting Messi a vanity project?

5 years ago, this would have been a coup. Now? At 33?

    Vanity and jersey sales.
