Honestly, we made out alright. England is really tough, but the Euro playoff winner is probably going to be the weakest Euro team in the Cup and there's zero reason to not beat Iran. That first round knockout match could be doable, too. Hopefully, we have all hands on deck and Berhalter doesn't [uck fay] it up.

Pot A is sneaky good. Qatar is weak, but those other three are good to underrated tough. Senegal will be interesting.

This is a fool's gold draw if I've ever seen one. The playoff winner will either be a passionate Ukraine side with some young talent, or one of two British sides that we have historically had trouble unlocking, an England side who will absolutely woodshed us, and an Iranian side who will play a lot better than their ranking suggests. It goes back to what you said, who do you trade with out of pot 2? Denmark and Netherlands would be fine Otherwise there’s not another group that looks any easier to manage. It’s the World Cup, beat the team you should beat, get out of there with two draws or one more win, advance.
Regardless of the Euro playoff, the US is going to be better than 2 teams in the group, and the other one has a long, storied history of underachieving. They are more than capable of advancing
