For a normal AD, yes. We're only paying our coordinators $500k, and we have no money put away compared to other schools (Cardinal can correct me if I'm wrong on that).

This looks like it's going to happen. If Butch has the chance to get Shoop and a few other assistants who are CLEARLY an upgrade and doesn't do it....**** him.

This could be a really big hire. Last 5 years Shoop has put top 20 defenses on the field, despite obvious roster limitations. With our talent, he could be a massive asset.

 

As long as barnett doesn't drop into coverage on 3rd and 9 I will be happy.

Any getable defensive coordinator could look at our roster for next year and feel really confident with what he has to work with, especially with the DL talent we have.

If Butch pulls this off, then one of my knocks on him is gone. If he cuts is buddies in order to improve his staff, then that shows me something

 

The only thing still in the way is the offense. The pieces are there but so is the crap scheme and coaching.
