I enjoyed it. I thought the series as a whole gave some good closure to the clones. What TCW and TBB did for humanizing the clones is outstanding and makes the clone wars and order 66 that much more impactful. I read a lot of people in a Facebook group who got frustrated with what they feel is an endless trail of bread crumbs, and apparently need a 20 minute monologue explaining Project Necromancer. It’s pretty damn obvious to me what it is.
Gentlemen...................... Darth Jar Jar https://www.ign.com/articles/darth-...axy-trailer-reveals-sith-version-of-character
I have only watched the first two episodes, but Skeleton Crew has far far far exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it. It is funny, has great action and fantastic settings and characters.
I think I am the last person with interest to watch The Mandalorian, and I am not happy with there being no firm plans to continue it.
This is a SPOILERS thread, so I am going to talk about the show now. I loved Skeleton Crew. My expectations after Acolyte were so low, I didn't even start watching till late. And damn I am so glad I did. 1) Jod is a great character. Bokken Jedi (trained outside the temple) that only got a little training by an Order 66 survivor before she was hunted down and killed in front of Jod. He still has some of the ideals that were taught to him, but they are warped and twisted by his life before and afterwards. 2) The kids were so good acting in this show. It wasn't forced, it was natural. And the character growth throughout the show was well written. Each overcame some of their own fears and problems, came together as a team and all had something they could contribute in the final battle. 3) The CGI and practical effects mixture should be the way forward. It gives a certain realism of acting that comes with practical and the looks of CGI without looking "fake". Neel is the prime example of this. The actor war a completely articulated head, and the eyes and (I assume) the mouth were CGI'd in. Just beautiful. 4) No "modern" message but a timeless one. No politics, gender or otherwise, and just a great, simple adventure story, just like a New Hope. 5) The scene of the mint vault opening was incredible. You can feel Jod going literally crazy with greed. 6) Jaleel White 7) Showing KB's issues with being "disabled" after her accident was well written. The fact that her brain stem/ lower brain seemed to have been damaged explains a lot of her lack of base emotions like anger and fear and why she loses control of her body when she shuts down on Lanupa 8) The speeder chase in the final episode. [uck fay] you Book of Boba Fett, your speeder "chase" was shit. 9) Wim still having compassion for Jod at the very end, even after all the things he did, wanting Jod to come with them at the end. I will be re-watching this.
This looks awesome https://x.com/starwarstufff/status/1894070199508213998?s=46&t=2b6pP7oj5Clj9DJABXtJCQ
Episode 3 back in the theatres. Really awesome to go see it with the boy. Could have gone with force ghost Rey coming in and killing anakin but alas.
I will. I finally got around to season 1 when with this baby and it was indeed very good like you said. It was the way star wars used to feel to me, darker and rougher.
I probably think this is way funnier than it actually is. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1N4rHS7d1S/?mibextid=wwXIfr
I was pretty annoyed when Season 2 didn’t open with a long recap of season 1, as there were a lot of plot points/people I didn’t really remember. I just finished the 3rd episode, and I honestly think I missed out on some of the emotion I would have had tied to the events. It’s a common annoyance of mine with the large gap between seasons. It’s still very good though.
Yeah, the time between seasons of many of the shows challenges an old man. I don't care for the duration. I watched a separate Season 1 recap offering. If that is not detailed enuff (or it has been too long) I will go back and watch the previous season's episode(s) as needed.
