I wish they weren’t going this no buyout route. If this is just SOP in the SEC then we’ll never hire a replacement who is worth a lick.

 

He is trying to save face so he can find another job quickly.

 

I’m sure the NCAA would end up seeing to the fact he doesn’t receive many paychecks from a new gig before he’s offered a vacation.

While I know that's not true, part of me hopes it is. The idea that his dumbass wandered into the office Monday morning with his breakfast from Pilot ready to start the day only to find a letter of termination that he had zero idea was coming makes me laugh.

 

The O’Brien thing seems to be picking up a little traction, in the rumor mill anyway. I don’t see anyone getting actually hired anytime soon.

On another note, I see we’ve become so irrelevant that ESPN doesn’t even hate us any more...

How is all this not going to kneecap us when we try to hire someone who knows you’ve got to pay to win in the SEC?

 

Hopefully because he hated Pruitt and not because he thinks we shouldn’t be cheating.

 

You try to win, you get zero buyout is what it looks like. I guess the devil is in the details but were we really doing more than everybody else is?

 

So when the dust settles you think we’ll hear Pruitt was given guidance this was a throwaway year and just got lazy?

 

I don't know if he got lazy, but treating people well can make a whole lot of issues disappear.

 

I think his staff this year was absolute trash from a coaching standpoint

 

From what I can gather -

1. Fulmer tried to help him/show him how to do things.
2. Pruitt refused to take any help from him or anyone else.
3. He was a major ass to a lot of people and didn't have any goodwill left with anyone.
4. So when he started losing it was a no brainer.
