Not so fast my friend - some are projecting with a win against Candy we'll go bowling - and play Memphis. Venture to guess we won't beat them if the current regime is in place. I still think they are trying to figure out a way to get him out of here. I don't think he wants to be here at this point himself.

 

We can always hang our hats on the fact that we are the BoB champions. No one can ever take that away from us!

It's been over a decade since we won an SEC Championship outright in basketball and a quarter of a century since we've won one in baseball. I don't think we are an anything school at this point.

Deep down I think it'll be either -

1. NLI, or
2. Outside of Ny6 and the Citrus & Outback bowls, no bowl for conference.

 

Come on man. We have 5 players with nba contracts from last 2 seasons and have 2 or 3 more projected off this squad. Have a tie/1 and 2nd in SEC in btb seasons, a "foul" with 1 second left from Elite 8 and wouldve had a shot at at SEC last season had Grant/Bone not left early. And we have beaten mighty Ky more the last 4 years than anybody else can claim.

I've been in radio for over 20 years now as a side gig. I just dug around and was told this:

Supposedly the rest of football is canceled immediately except the SEC Title game. There will only be a handful of bowl games the SEC will participate in other than the playoffs.

Also, basketball is frozen until mid January and when it returns it will be conference only. And they are trying to work out a couple of weeks to have ALL the SEC teams at the same venue and bubbled and for all teams to play 5 games over 7 days. They want this to happen 2 times between mid January and the end of February.

Take it for what it's worth - that's just what someone I trust was told.
