  1. For the uninformed lurkers, where can the details of the furniture story be found? Thanks.

Same here. When I was growing up, my grandparents' go to restaurant was Shoney's. If we ended up at Ryan's, it meant someone had died or gotten hitched and we were splurging.

    I honestly didn't know Ryan's was considered a step above Shoney's.

    Yeah, news to me.

  9. Clearly, we have different definitions of what "details" means. I was curious about what happened with the Law's Furniture debacle mentioned in the op. It may be in another thread, it may not be posted, it may be a rumor that isn't true, it may be that no one wants to provide details. But there are no details already mentioned in this thread.

We just didn't eat out a lot and Ryan's just seemed better to me.

I don't know if the quality has went down like crazy or if I was just young but I remember it being amazing

I met Fulmer once while still in high school, I was working at a country club and he and John Ward were eating lunch together, my mom was a manager at the CC and asked him if I could come over, he obliged. She had told him I played football and so when I get over there he asked me what school and position I played. Shortly there after he talked to me about how important school was, obviously seeing that I was 185lbs and would never see a college field. He was very nice to me. Asked for an autograph but didn't have anything proper, so he said he would give me one when he came back. I wrote it off. His next time back he had autographed photos from himself, John Ward and Pat Summitt personalized to me.
