I don't know how to feel about the possibility of Jokic winning his 3rd straight MVP.

On one hand, he's more deserving of it this year than either of the previous two years, imo.

On the other hand, are we REALLY going to add him to the list of players who have won 3 straight NBA MVP's, which currently consists of Larry Bird, Wilt, and Bill Russell? He doesn't belong in that category. They didn't let Giannis join that list because he couldn't get it done in the postseason. They didn't let LeBron join it because everybody was big mad about The Decision (and that would have given him 5 straight). But we are going to let Jokic join it because a bunch of flawed metrics say that he's basically the best basketball player of all time?

It just feels like we've lost the plot with how the MVP award is supposed to work.
