I think women's reasoning is that they have to sit down for both uses of a toilet. Men have to sit down for 1 out of 2. Therefore, 75% of the time (high estimate, as I'm guessing urination is a much more common occurrence than defecation) the seat is in use and should be down. I, however, enjoy leaving the seat up in the middle of the night. I think it's hilarious to hear the gf fall in when she is half asleep, and it's well worth the earful I get.

 

You put your ass on it more frequently, then you should be responsible for adjusting it. Time for bathroom etiquette reform.

 

Absolutely. If it effects you, it's your responsibility to deal with it.

I have a toddler and a dog. The rule around here is seat down, lid down. For a while, we had to lock it.

Going with the censored version so I don't ruffle big brother's sensibilities (even though their search engine produced uncencored versions). Censorship sucks and really diminishes the effect in this case:
