He is quite the manager and makes all the right decisions.

 

He is easily the best manager in baseball and the Cardinals should be lucky to have him as long as he wants to keep managing.

 

He actually has a book called "The Matheny Way".

I laughed a lot

 

It's about youth baseball and i agree with about 99% of his views there. Read it annually before start of the season.

Managing a bullpen.....different story.

Ripkens have a good kids baseball book.

 

Looks like they've picked up this season right where they left off last season.

 

I know the book but I've never read it. Probably need to.

When does Matheny get shit canned this year? Will you all end the season above .500?

 

I don't think it magically fixes everything but I'm about ready to see it. I think they probably get above .500 before all is said and done but I don't expect to see postseason at this point

 

GM deserves some heat for the roster, too.

 

A little. The last couple of free agent classes have been thin though.

 

If the bullpen didn't suck balls they are probably looking at their 5th or 6th win today.

 

Little better week last week. Still a ways to go though.

 

Nice little road streak there.

Big early season homestand coming up. Make it through this and I might start to fully believe in this team.

And Pham has to stay in the bigs when everyone is back, right?

 

No. Gotta get Fowler and Piscotty back in there ASAP. Production is irrelevant.

 

I find it funny that so many coaches and managers get hung up on "my guy" and forget the whole production side of things.
