Going to leave for Panama City Beach tomorrow night about 10:00 PM with the three kids. Hoping they will be able to sleep most of the 10-11 hours. Love it there during the quieter seasons. More to do IMO than Destin but just as nice of a beach area. This will be my 3rd year in a row staying at the Celadon. It's the last high rise condo on the West end of the beach going towards Destin. Close enough to everything but still not right in the middle of it all either.

Hoping to get one of those new cheap flights to Vegas in the fall where I can go for a few days to say I've seen it. Always wanted to go - something about Vegas just calls to me.

My kids love going anywhere that has water they can swim in. One of these days I'm going to try to go to another beach for a second vacation during a year with them just not sure where yet. Don't want to go to Myrtle Beach or Hilton Head again even though HH is nice enough.

Vegas is awesome. I'm not a big gambler, but I did play cards and slots. The shows were a lot better than I thought they would be. I didn't go to any clubs. Rented a Jeep and cruised over to the Grand Canyon, I really liked that too.

Siesta Key is a nice family beach, it's a little south of Panama.

If I ever set foot in Vegas again, it will be because someone kidnapped me and made me go. Place is a dump.

I would take Vegas over New York every day and twice on Sunday. I'd take a sitting on the back porch of a cabin in East Tennessee sipping on Jim Beam and doing nothing else over both though.

Not a better beach in the continental US, imo.

And here I thought I was in the minority. The place looked like the crowd from Panama City Beach Spring Break from 1982-2014 just relocated and kept the same, sad party going.

I'm too cheap to gamble. I'm not a fan of crowds. I don't care for drunks, unless I am one...but I'm not at 8am, on a Wednesday. I'm having coffee. Leave me alone, and no I don't want an escort...

    I liked my hotel though.

I have no interest in going there. Once me and my brother were thinking we might get stuck there passing through flying standby, so we were gonna check it out, but other than a situation like that, don't care if i ever set foot there

I used to go a couple of times a year when I was younger. Last time I went I couldn't believe how much more dumpy and white trash it was compared to before. I kind of grew out of it anyway, but it really has gone to crap

Back in the '90s and up to around 2006, we had a Dealer Meeting every October in Vegas, with a couple of diversions to Scottsdale, AR and Santa Barbara, CA. I would just as soon spend a week watching [ddiapos] UT highlight videos as go back. The shows are for the most part fine, some spectacular, the hotels we stayed in were top shelf, but too damned crowded, too plastic, and I have never been much for casino gambling. It is a sucker's game guaranteed for the house to win out in the long run. Give me my poker night each week, and my gambling quotient is filled.

I will say the Cirque de Solei shows are something else. We saw Ka and that was worth the whole trip. That and the Grand Canyon.

I agree 100 percent. And I found a dollar blackjack table. I was a big pimp at that table. Played loose as hell and won a bunch of money. Even the dealers were playing their tips on my hand. I went to the $20 tables and couldn't add 2+2 because I was so tight.

There is a lot of other stuff to do and see other than the Casinos. The Atomic Testing Museum is a must see.

The cat calling and the click click of the prostitute playing cards gets old.

I saw the very first of the Cirque genre shows, and was enthralled by it.
