Its a square peg in a round hole to a degree, but Pruitt isn't reloading (ala Saban at Bama) with coaches in a program thats rolling. I think you need a guy that you feel at minimum will give you 3 to 4 years. My concern with Briles is that he would bolt at the first chance to be a HC and that may not be too far out for him. I don't think Chaney has that ambition given how long he has been a well respected assistant. The interesting part is the talk that Briles wants his OL coach. Im curious if his system would sputter early if that wasn't part of the package. 1.Chaney with or without Pittman (More SEC tested) 2.Briles (Most talented with the highest ceiling) 3.Kitchens (Just don't know enough to put him above either)
That’s a fair analysis. My gut tells me Kitchens would be fantastic here and is a known quantity to a guy who is apparently looking for an OC who sees things that same way he does, which kind of lets Briles out, honestly. Chaney has been good with good to great talent but how he’d do with the mediocre talent we currently have on hand I don’t know. Of the three, Chaney is the only one I think we could keep for any length of time, provided we could get him here to begin with...
I also love that fact that Jimmy Hyams hasn't even offered a pick. He's like [uck fay] this shit after last time.
You know he does, he stopped that psycho water bottle cap shot since he got on the 8th, I think he's off the tiny hat too.
I both hate and appreciate that this has gotten so many likes. Legit LOL when I read it. So simple and brutally savage.
