You're limited by money, too. It's a right, so maybe guns should be free? "Right to bear arms" in no way insinuates an unlimited arsenal for every person. The arms themselves are still available under this proposed law. How often have you purchased more than one hand gun a month in your life?
People killed with knives count the same, and there are less of them. The flipside is to argue that with each gun murder, all the victims count a little less... which I suppose is kind of true from a "don't ever change a damn thing about guns" perspective.
Yeah people with knifes don’t like to attack people that might have guns. London is more violent now than before when people had more freedom to carry a firearm. It’s just instead of a gun the new tool is a knife.
You haven't demonstrated that the 2nd amendment gives one the right to purchase unlimited firearms. I can make the same claim that guns should be freely distributed, since the 2nd amendment says nothing about having to purchase them. Charging money for a gun infringes on my right to bear them! It's my right!
You are a liberal, I'm surprised this isn't more widespread. I'm sure if the left as pro-gun it would be.
This is your claim. Support it. Show me the statistic of London having more murders than when people had "more freedom to carry a firearm." Or any statistic to support the claim.
I own guns. There are plenty of people left of the GOP who do. I don't see these laws as any kind of violation of the 2nd amendment or threatening in any way. If you don't see free guns as guaranteed, then I don't see how you can honestly believe "unlimited guns" is guaranteed. It clearly references a regulated militia. Who's regulating it, Card? How does that fit in to this interpretation?
Charlottesville as an entity was the lead agency and ignored the threat assessments presented to them. It was only after the chaos ensued anyone was allowed to directly deal with the threats.
Your story was from 2018. The link I shared was from 2019, and shows that the murder rate of London is lower than most major US cities. So no, that isn't advancing your claim. It is undermining it.
I got video of Alex Jones in his bearcat. Not sure how to go about posting the video or if anyone actually cares.
It doesn't say it is required, only that a well-regulated militia and that to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
Is your second amendment right being violated by not being able to easily and freely obtain an RPG launcher? Or build a pipe bomb?
According to the courts - no. And I respect that. My guess is that if you were to ask Madison or Jefferson (esp Jefferson), they would to some degree say yes.
When the initial unlawful assembly was declared it was in essence a request and not an order and everything devolved from there.
