Tim Priest almost makes up for Bob

 

Bob is awful.

 

just doesn't know how to do radio.

 

During the 2012 season, he threw his headset twice during the Troy game. It was great radio

 

Bob is bad, but he's on par with a lot of other schools' radio guys and better than some. After you have John Ward, you've got to have a better follow up than Kesling.

Or not let Bob hang around for 20 years. Guy after the guy, and all. But I guess that job is sort of hard to get fired from.

 

Rather have Mike Keith.

 

I don't listen to other guys much (or Bob for that matter) but it's hard for me to believe this

 

A few here have been there lately for some reason. I usually hate food snobbery, but b-dubs is bad.

 

I guess it's subjective but you usually either get a homer who is really bad at telling you what is going on or someone who completely lacks emotion. Hawthorne at LSU was much worse than Kesling. John Ward was the Michael Jordan of radio. If you did a continuum with Kesling on one end and Ward on the other, most are scrunched down on the Kesling end. It's not evenly distributed along that continuum. Again subjective.

 

It's certainly not fair to compare him to John Ward, but Kesling just doesn't paint the picture in your mind. His vocal quality and enthusiasm are fine I think but he does it like he's doing tv, which to be fair was his background.

Lots of people like John Wilkerson when he gets the occasional chance to fill in because he's enthusiastic but I think he's equally bad

 

Bob is OK at basketball, and he has Bertlekamp to help out. But in football, he is just godawful.

Speaking of Bob, he was on Finebaum earlier. According to him, Colton Jumper played "lights out" Saturday...

 

Lights out as in time to go to sleep.

 

Bob said his name a lot, so in his mind he did.

 

Since I work in Georgia, it will be so much fun to go to work tomorrow.
