Amazing that Webb and Cobb were teammates. Along with Harper and Pickens.

This group was right before I really started paying attention at an early age. Garner, Little Man Stewart, Shuler were my first memories of Tennessee football.

Roland Poles and Greg Amsler. Those were the glory years when we actually recruited and used Fullbacks the way they should be used.

Still, Davis, McRae, Myslinkski on the O-Line.

edit: TD Woods was still on the team as well in 89. I do not believe Pickens was even a starter that year, at least on offense.

My favorite defensive player was Shazzon Bradley. Mostly because of his name.

Pickens led the team with interceptions.

  9. That jump over the top against Florida...

His one to win the sugar bowl against UVA wasn’t bad either.

Same. All had moments, but never met the potential.

I hoped that Houston, Davis, and Tinsley would be nations best backfield, but they never approached that status in their time here.

Derrick Tinsley was a guy who I thought would be a big deal, but they never found a way to effectively get the ball in his hands, aside from that end around at Miami.

  16. LaMarcus Coker was the huge disappointment.

Always looked more like a track guy trying to be a running back than an actual running back.

  18. I thought he was going to be the real deal. SMH

Harper was not the sharpest knife in the drawer but I loved that guy.

I thought Tinsley and Larkins should have been the starters but they were scat backs and UT wanted to pound the rock. The others were sloooooooow.
