Well, that is the year the constitution is dated, so maybe.

 

I surf back and forth between fox and CNN mostly. Since dishnetwork and CNN/Turner are not currently playing nice, I'll swap CNN with MSNBC or some such. I might watch a little RT if they have election coverage.

 

I may have to flip to MSNBC just to see if anyone has a meltdown. Probably not going to be a good night for their talking heads.

Truth is this election is only a preseason game for 2016. Even if/when the GOP gets control of the Senate, they still won't have 60 votes.

 

Now the Dems will be the ones stonewalling in the Senate. Same shit different day.

 

If all goes as expected and GOP plays this right, they could really make it look like they want to work with Obama and paint him in corner.

Also, when is last time GOP controlled both houses with a Democrat president?

 

Don't forget the rubber veto stamp playing deep safety.

 

If they come out "wanting to work with Obama," they'll alienate their base as they've also painted themselves into a corner.

 

I'm sure Obama will be ready to compromise. oh wait. . .

 

The last time time a house of congress impeached someone. Could see a repeat of history there.

 

How do you explain not getting bill after bill rammed down your throat from 2008-2010, if he is such a hardass?

 

Did you miss the biggest piece of legislation in the past 70 years of American history?

 

And dodd frank.

 

It was a compromised/bastardized bill.

 

Both of those are among the biggest changes to law in American history.

 

his own party didn't want the original bill. I'd hardly call that compromising to the republicans.

 

You can keep base happy and "attempt to work with the president".
