I loved this forum and then hated this forum...

Chaney isn't a great caller but he's a fantastic builder.

 

I think his coaching is fine. Every time he speaks to the media, he just keeps putting his foot in his mouth. A couple of big money Arkansas people claim he gets hammered and makes an ass of himself behind closed doors.

I think Alvarez kept him from making an ass of himself by keeping him on the field as much as possible.

 

Chaney is the guy that seems like a mismatch for Bret. His teams under Dooley had nothing resembling the physicality of Wisconsin.

 

His style of play takes longer to build in recruiting too. I think he's making the steps to turn Arkansas into a tough team that no one wants to play.

 

I doubt he'll be there next year. There's a lot of Arkansas fans that hate him

 

That is true. Bret is the ground and pound version of Holgorsen.

 

I could see him taking a bunch of money and going to Illinois.

I can't think of anyone I wouldn't want at this exact moment in time, other than The last two dipshits we hired. I'm sure Hart could check whatever bathroom stall he uses as a short list and provide me with some suggestions of people I don't want, though.

 

He also takes responsibility when his team fails.

 

That could work out really well, but at the same time I feel like we need to look far and wide.

 

I like Fuente and I like that he coached under Patterson

 

You put the press on the elite guys, if you can't land them you have to go this route.

Your post sets up my anger about how we do business. Why do we hire the guys who worked under the guy instead of the guy?
