The pc woke crowd are wusses and this is another example. Pepe le pew, Peter pan, Dumbo...give me a [uck fay]ing break.

Whether I watch something or not, has no bearing on my opinion about this "I'm offended" at cartoons bs. People are soft and the rationalizations of the reasons are amusing.

I just logged into Disney+ and started watching Peter Pan.

 

It's no different than not putting Conan the Barbarian (1982) in the children's section. Everyone has their things they want to war about, and for some it is racial stuff, for some it is sex, for some it is violence, etc.

It has always been this way and will always be this way.

 

Peter pan and pepe le pew are same as Conan? And no, it hasn't always been this way or this stuff wouldn't be happening after decades of nothing.
Seems some are getting really baccustomed to control of what they see, read online and from Twitter, or partial information from news media that every control situation will be rationalized as ok and normal. Not me.

 

All three offend people for different reasons. Do you want your 5 year old watching Conan?

 

Next, do the cancel culture crybabies who are too stupid to read into the nuance or details and would rather just knee jerk like morons on a message board over the made up cancel culture boogie man. What are they?

Calling out its stupidity isn't being offended. It's calling out how ridiculous the focus is. People have lost their minds

Ssmiff: Calls out Person 1 for being... dumb, offensive, boring, whatever.

It is the same.

The difference is that Person 1 is successful at getting what they want, while Ssmiff is not.
