How well does the racism come across? I don’t want to listen to it unless I can experience the full racism of it.

 

The only part I was in the kitchen long enough for was some part about Hook kidnapping some kid to kill them.

And I thought... man, I really don't think my 5 year old needs to worry about some pirate coming and kidnapping him and killing him. But, here we are.

 

Sounds like that book should be rated...

I've not watched it in years and can't remember what would make it racist.

 

Dumbo I get.

I am having a hard time remembering what is culturally insensitive in Peter Pan. But I have only seen it, maybe, once. Probably not even that. I know the official reason, stereotypes of Native Americans, but I don't remember it that much.

 

Having never watched a second of Peter Pan, I found this and would imagine it's what people are upset about...

 

I always hated Dumbo, so I don't care.

I guess it's been ages because I don't even remember that from Peter Pan. I guess I focused more on the kid that never got old flying around and the Pirate with a hook for an arm.

Side note - Jake and the Neverland Pirates is one of the toddler shows I actually do miss.

 

I thought Peter Pan was a live action movie, so I guess I'm clueless.

 

All this while they keep Caillou, teletubbies and Barney. When they scrap SpongeBob, im gonna picket

 

Barney perpetuates an anti-plumological stereotype of dinosaurs and frankly I find it disgusting.

 

I LONG for the day they can SpongeBob.

Best cartoon out there right now is Big City Greens.

SpongeBob is outstanding

 

SpongeBob is fine, until it is on TV at your house for 2 hours every day. And eventually it starts to get annoying.

Big City Greens is still better.
