We need a schematic advantage.

 

A.) If it is Butch's offense, meaning it doesn't really matter who the OC is than why not get a top notch recruiter (yes, i know they're already recruiting well but can you have too many) and someone that has experience coaching QB's.

B.) If Butch will let the new guy have input on the play calling than why in the hell would you hire a guy overseeing the Michigan bobsledding team?

Either way, Mike Debord makes no sense to me.

Even if it is Butch's zone read nonsense offense, you can still have a competent playcaller. Do you want another Bajakian that would abandon what was working? OC matters.

 

Somebody on VQ said the rumor out of the UTC AD is that Jeff Durden has been contacted by Butch.

 

Who is this? People like me who dont keep up with assistant coaches need to know if we need to jump out a window.

 

Current OC at UT Chattanooga. IMO a really good up and coming coach. Not so sure you want to have him jump from the SoCon to the SEC though.

If an FCS OC has been contacted, then I have no doubt it'll get ****ed up.

UT Chatanooga is a great up-and-coming program though. I think we could do worse. And probably will, with UT's fortune.
