Hooker is #3 in pass efficiency in D1. Crazy if you think about it and go back to where we were for 3 years.
Barely a fart in the wind about Bailey needing a closer look. Give Hooker a line and some healthy running backs, and he can roll with anyone.
Dont care what the scoreboard says or if it's called another blowout. Hooker and JH destroying bamas secondary, down 7 with the ball with 13 left in the game. At their house against top 3 in Heisman, undermanned and [uck fay]ed over a few times by the refs. 2 huge plays later and it's out of hand. 3rd and 15 and the int while driving. Those 2 plays go the other way and could be +14 for us instead of -14. With kids all over the field fighting their asses off.
There are apparently rumors of him not showing up to practice this week. I think he and Heupel have made an agreement to preserve his redshirt so he keeps his year of eligibility wherever he ends up next year.
Statistically Hendon Hooker is having as good a season as anyone in the SEC. Also, Jeremy Banks is having an All SEC caliber season.
Banks has to get better at the run and disguising his blitzes. Outside of that he has been pretty damn solid. I have been please with his pass coverage which I was afraid was going to be his biggest problem.
Yup. Yardage is only category he’s not top 3 in right now. He still might be close in total yardage with rushing.
Hooker should get All-SEC for dragging a pile of Bama defenders ten yards on a bum leg, as well as vaunted status among Vol figures past.
I still can't believe what Hooker has looked like when compared to spring and what I expected after his first couple of plays live action. Absolutely mind-boggling improvement.
His first four series against Pitt called to mind the James Banks at QB experiment. The transformation as he’s gotten comfortable has been extraordinary.
