Where are you from? Its felt really good here lately, I'm sure the deer are moving. When I went back home a couple of weeks ago I went and checked on my stands and scouted a little. Just saw a couple smaller bucks. My uncle and cousin had a big 10 pt come in the field right next to there house on the farm. Hopefully I'll get a shot at him this fall.

I go every now and then, but it lost a lot of its appeal several years ago.

I doubt I'll get in the woods this year, but I might do a little duck hunting around Thanksgiving.

Combination of things. One, I got spoiled by an overpopulated farm coupled with high water that push all the deer out to the fields.

Got to the point where I could put up a climber anywhere, wait 15 minutes, hit the grunt call a few times and choose whether to drop a legal buck or wait til a die runs by for meat.

The second, and biggest thing, was that I realized the thing I liked most was the shooting.

So now, I just go to the range, or set up a 3D target and break out the climber and put a few arrows down range at different presentations of he target.

Gotcha. I will probably get back in to bow hunting when I get older. I just don't have time for it and got frustrated after I missed a monster 3 times.

I will be in the woods at around 4:30 tomorrow morning.

I will sit until I kill a deer or Alabama plays Arkansas.

You sure you're hunting and not in bed still, Blaker?

Squirrels. Most annoying thing to hear walking around behind you the first day you are out.

You are a better man than I. Hunting before rut is boring.

Out one night frog gigging, and by gigging I mean shooting with a .22, and me and a buddy heard the loudest most shrill scream ever. Popped smoke and hauled ass.

Pretty sure it was a "black panther."

Probably just a regular panther, but still.. first time you hear one of those things yell... heart stopping.
