The team they had out there today had no receiving options. None. Zero. Zilch. Nada. They were one dimensional. The defense has no secondary and mediocre LBs. They have a couple of DEs that can play. I'm not sure why we're acting like that was a good team. When healthy, the offense is good but limited by Mason. Who were the NFL guys on that offense, apart from feature backs? The defense?
I think they had one WR out there today that is future NFL guy, but lack of other options and Mason made him virtually nonexistent. UGA was missing a passing threat via the TE which they usually kill TN with. Thats about it.
I think the time to be critical of Bajakian is here in a year or so if things don't improve. Even then what are you going to do with a QB stable consisting of Peterman, Dobbs, True freshman, True Freshman? I understand the frustrations of them implementing a scheme that doesn't work with our personnel but to say it doesn't work and want him fired is a bit premature. Everybody was cussing Jancek last year and now I don't know if his name has been brought up all year.
He started out strong with 8 in the box, and then acted like a sucker going into nickel and dime packages to match receivers. Then they ran it anyway.
He is so much the lesser of two evils right now that I refuse to make him the focal point of my hatred for America's Best Staff.
