Has anyone tried any of Deep Eddy's spirits? Had this one last night, on the rocks w/ a grapefruit slice. Very tasty!! Think I'll try Sweet Tea next
Bump-a-daisy They've added two --- Cranberry as well as Lemon --- since my last post. If you have yet to try give it go ... even if you're not a clear / vodka fan. Best natural fruit infused spirit since Alameda's St. George Spirit Hangar One line
For those of you who are scotch enthusiasts World's First Scottosh-Japanese Whisky Launched The first bottling – The Glover 22 Year Old – was produced from three single casks: one refill ex-Sherry hogshead distilled at the Hanyu Distillery in Japan, which closed in 2005, one American oak ex-Sherry hogshead distilled at the Longmorn Distillery in Scotland, and one Spanish oak ex-Sherry butt from Scotland’s Glen Garioch Distillery. Just 390 bottles have been produced, which are expected to retail for up to £1,100 a bottle.
This looks awesome! As luck would have it I'll be staying in Soho over Christmas. I'm definitely putting this on the list and will report back.
For Scotch I like the big bruisers. Ardbeg has been described as a "knife and fork job" and it really fits. The lighter stuff just doesn't do it for me.
Talisker is solid. Have you tried Storm? It's one of the more interesting whiskies I've tried; it tastes like the ocean.
Yeah, a lot of brine. Something about the salt and smoke made me think sea. It's not a favorite, just interesting.
I've never tasted Laphroaig for some reason, but I know some guys who count it the best. And now you. It's a peat bomb, right? I've got to try it.
