you said their teams did not have disappointing seasons. what is the common denominator here? your only evidence is qb rating which is a terrible metric to use and doesn't quantify the surrounding talent.
Most of these teams only needed average or above average level qb play to succeed, otherwise they wouldn't have been ranked that high preseason with a true frosh qb, and all ended up disappointing. why?
and your evidence is what? qb rating? for real? you seriously think a top 10 team with top 10 surrounding talent is getting average qb play if their qb rating is in the 50s?
That 2009 USC offense didn't have that much. I get you're point but the fact that USC was used to Heisman level QB play doesn't mean Barkley sucked.
