Pat Green, Eli Young, Casey Donahew in Manhattan 3/9. Will be bringing the lady North to show her New England in late winter. She'll love the concert, not so much packing for anywhere from 0 to 70°. Of course being a Tennessean she'll need Carhartt coveralls for most of that range.

Hold up, have to bump an old post. You saw turnpike in Nashville and was surprised to see a mass of hipsters?

So got our hotel in Greenville to go along with Aaron Watson tickets. We decided to do that instead of Jamey at the Shed. Only cost $20 more total and get a weekend away out of it.

 

Brad Paisley is a likeable enough guy and a good and talented performer, but arena shows you watch on a screen aren't my thing.

And the other 2 guys were as horrible as I expected.

 

Chris Knight is pretty F'in awesome.

 

Saw him in Charlotte in the fall. He’s awesome.

 

Just saw him tonight in JC. Awesome time.

 

Turnpike/Shooter Jennings/Chris Knight in Kentucky has been moved to Labor Day Sunday since TT are going to tour with Miranda Lambert.

Sucks as that's a date I 100% can't do.

 

Margo Price works her ass off to put on a good show. She's great.

Tyler Childers was also badass as well. He looked shocked at his standing ovation midway through his set. He started with his band, then played a few with just his guitar.

Sturgill Simpson showed up too.

One of the best concerts I've ever been to.

Nice. I chose Colter over Childers. Hopefully Sturgill is still around town.

 

Small world. My grandparents (mother's parents) lived right down the street on Linda Court in Madison from Lester Flatt's old house on Donna drive. Every once in awhile you could hear them pickin' and playing on their patio.
