I get it, but I still hate that they’re touring with Miranda Lambert.

 

What's wrong with Miranda?

 

Nothing is wrong with her but a kinda logical next step after touring with her is tweaking your sound to become more marketable. I couldn’t begrudge those guys for trying to make more money but I really hope they keep rolling with what they are.

Saw Colter and Margo tonight.

Fantastic show. Sturgill came out again and the place was rockin.

Colter's voice can't be beat.

 

I don't know that they'd go that route, they seem pretty dedicated to sticking with self releasing on Bossier City and touring hard.

They charge a fair amount and pack every venue. I understand your concern but they seem to be doing well and having fun doing it their way.

 

Trouble is, they’ve pretty much hit their ceiling. That tends to cause continuity issues.

I'm enjoying Shooter's new stuff. Reminds me of 70s country with some Jason Isbell thrown in. Never really know what to expect with him besides a reference to his daddy.

 

I'll be there for the Saturday night show. Looking forward to it.

 

$55 get in price for Robert Earl and Lyle at Tennesee Theatre. I'll pass.

 

I’m gonna pay it. I’ve wanted to see them together for a while.

 

After Lime Kiln this week our concert budget will be tapped out saving for Steamboat or Mile 0. Of course if Reckless comes around we'll be there.

 

An opinion more people have agreed with than I anticipated -

Alabama is entirely overrated and pretty much every song released 1990 and later is awful.

 

I mean they are what they are. I still enjoy hearing a lot of their songs from time to time but nobody is holding them out as creative geniuses.

 

I have friends that swear by them and think they are the greatest country act ever. In reality, they have about 10 good to great songs and that's it.

 

Agreed. They could maybe lay claim to being the greatest of a particular brand of country I guess.
