His one year was very exciting at times and his ability to coach qb's, recruit, and motivate players was going to bring UT back to the top. We weren't the laughingstock of the SEC when he was here. FWIW
Also, as a 17 year old when he was hired, I loved the swagger he brought to the program and he would have backed it up, imo.
The gasp when Layla walked out with Lane made me laugh. It was nice having coaches that were in demand. It was nice having coaches that didn't shock you when they hauled in a big name recruit. It was nice having coaches that didn't talk about depth or youth or mistakes.
The Orange pants are the best thing about Dooley's tenure so far. I loved Kiffin but he always looked like a goofball.
I know Georgia was glad to see him go. Kiffin was about to own their ass both on the field and recruiting their state. Damn you Jack Del Rio!
My take on Dooley's pants is that he shouldn't wear them every freaking week. It makes him look like he doesn't do laundry and wears the same pants all the time. Mix them in but don't wear them every game. I didn't like that stupid rain breaker style pullover Kiffin wore but I don't care much as long as they win.

Minus the Cincinnati game last year, UT doesn't have that many highlights int he past 2 years combined in the cluster[uck fay] known as the dooley era.
That pro type set is my favorite set in football. short to mid-range passing with lots of PA and power running with a lot of screens also.
