But what about Tennessee's win over Gonzaga?! Or Tennessee's two wins over UK, who beat UNC, who swept Duke? If you chart all this stuff out, there is no way to turn it objectively that doesn't put Tennessee as one of the top 4 teams. There really isn't. Our worst loss was to a Kansas team who was completely different later after they lost their star. That's our WORST LOSS.
It has been so long since I have rreally kept up with this stuff. Does the committee basically rank everyone and then seed the whole thing like one big tourney as in: the highest overall ranked team would have the #8 overall team as the #2 in its bracket? If so, wouldn't we be #2 in the west opposite Gonzaga? And then have the best #3 seed in that bracket?
I thought that was how they did it (by the s curve), but according to this they seed the top 16 by location. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.as...pari-s-curve-ncaa-tournament-uk-wildcats-2019
