I do believe they wanted info the Russians had. Meetings were held. Then stories changed to cover up.

I also believe Manafort was used by Russians to place certain people they had some level of influence on into the campaign to try to paint a more favorable policy picture for them. They could do this with Trump because he was left adrift by the establishment and the typical players that would be involved in setting foreign policy.

I do not think any of these acts would or could lead to a successful impeachment. The cover-up could possibly warrant an impeachment if it exists. Depending on what exactly was covered up - if it happened - I might want that impeachment to be successful.

And it was about the clinton emails. Russia had them, and gave them to wikileaks. Those close to the campaign were aware of all this. Remember, guilliani even hinted about them about to be leaked.

Trump asked Russians to leat them if they have them. Months prior, his son sat in a meeting with Russian contacts to discuss what they had on clinton.

Do the math. Something was fishy. Manafort seems like a good thread to tug.

And don't think this is all partisan. We know the GOP servers were breached around the same time. Nothing was ever leaked. Why? Don't know, but it could mean some are compromised. Could just be there was nothing useful at the time.

Putin has a personal dislike for clinton, and knew sanctions would continue or intensify under her. Under trump, he has refused to impose the sanctions congress nearly unanimously passed just a few months ago, which is actually a constitutional crisis that isn't getting any attention.

You tell me. Why shouldn't the passed sanctions be imposed? Even trump admits they meddled now, so why not?

Shocking that a known charlatan Nunes would attempt such a distraction and that Trump would state it absolved him. Otherwise, the sentiment that the Republicans are trying to tie Mueller to bias (Two agents dismissed for disparaging remarks about Trump is a pretty weak basis for saying the Mueller team is biased) or him creating a witch hunt towards Trump as a method of diversion is a pretty solid observation, as well. The fact that those examining the Nunes memo saying it's diversionary bunk from a guy noted for his diversionary bunk puts me on fairly solid ground, also.

But, yes, you are right, you and I have bias. The fact that you think mine is more immature and intellectually stunting than yours is amusing. I feel quite fine with where I stand right now, particularly on Nunes.

At this point, I'll have to say, gut feel, I definitely believe that Trump, or at least Trump people, colluded with Russia to help win the election. Trump isn’t doing himself any favors on this line of reasoning. It’s been a bad week. For example, my guess is that foreign governments at times express their opinions on selections like Secretaries of State. However given the multiple Russia connections amongst campaign officials and the way Trump has reacted regarding Putin, it puts the Tillerson suggestion from Russia and ultimate naming of Tillerson in a very different light than, say, had the Israeli ambassador stopped by to say a certain choice was unacceptable and offer a different name.
