The problem was Milton. Heupel routinely churns out 3500 yard qbs with 30+ touchdowns. Milton would go quarters of football games without completing a pass

And the ones he did complete were mostly empty calories.

He was really awful at running an offense

    Productive against lesser talent.

He's a true freshman and there are upperclassmen ahead of him who have been here.

He's a slot receiver. Unless squirrel is hurt or transfers he isn't starting over him.

You don't keep talent like him off the field. I could see him and Squirrel listed as 1a and 1b.

I don't know anything about him. Can he stretch a defense?

Brazzell looks like a stud. I think he'll do well in our offense.

What will stretch the field is hitting open guys.

He's a bigger receiver that's going to go up and over people

I think we'll see more receivers rotate in the game in 2024. They'll get a series or two until someone is unstoppable or they play themselves out of it.

Both are transfers. Both had goose egg stats against SEC opponents before transferring. Brazzell had nice stats against the also ran conference they're in. Brazzell showed flashes at Oregon against somewhat better opponents.

I still think we need a Hyatt type deep threat. Thought it was squirrel but not sure now

They just have to let him do it. Defenses were hell bent on not getting beat deep this year against Tennessee.

And didn’t have time to throw much deep in the Citrus Bowl

Gotta see it and let it go early like Hooker did in his last year. Those throws to Hyatt…Milton and Nico are holding it until they are open. Split seconds count.

Yes. consistently hit the middle of the field along with those flat passes, and they won't be able to do that anymore. Consistency will open things up.
