2024 Recruiting Class Thread

Are we going after Nico’s little brother and what class is he in?

 

He's 2025, they're going all in on George McIntyre but are recruiting him

 

Whiffed on 3 OL who visited in last few days. RT is an issue. Is our system used against us? Do big strong OL want to catch their breath in the huddle? Is our style causing more injuries?

 

Pounds visiting was more to see if we wanted him not the other way around. I think after the weekend we are putting our efforts into Heard who has been target #1 from the beginning. We have to beat Oklahoma out for him which with them getting the last visit will not be easy.

 

The Kansas guy canceled his other visits after leaving Knoxville, Heard hasn't committed anywhere. Pounds is a one year guy who Tennessee had 3rd on the list.

Heard wants to play LT. He won’t play RT for a year it sounds like.

 

Heard is still available but he is at Oklahoma right now on a visit.

 

And of course Oklahoma desperately needs LT depth.

High school O-line recruiting has kind of sucked for a couple years so this is the result.

 

Ruiz [uck fay]ing us on the Mauigoa recruitment was a killer.

 

I mean, we have a really good ol class coming in...

 

Sounds like he wasn’t very enthusiastic about his visit here.

 

He was here for 6 hours then had to catch a plane. Our dip shit media tried to interview him as he was heading for the plane so he had basically no time to talk. So because he was short it was automatically assumed he didn't have a good time. Pretty stupid. Not saying we are going to get him as he is asking for a big bag and prefers a side we don't really have open but to say he didn't like the trip is a bit much.

 

6 hour visit. Damn, this really is a business now.

 

Transfer guys are all business. It's more NFL like.

 

I wasn’t talking about THIS year, but counting on freshman linemen to contribute is pretty stupid. Missing on a bunch of guys two years in a row puts you in a huge hole.

 

Is there some way to orchestrate a scandal to make Alabama as maligned as the Ivy League and funding UT athletics as being the key to containing their woke agenda?
