So much for DJ Durkin’s promise to beat the hell out of Tennessee. I hope he enjoyed our “goofy” fight song raining down on him as he was walking off the field in defeat.
Surely that’s a sarcastic troll, cause if so that’s kinda low key funny. But if that is not a cheeky post and he’s dead ass serious, that’s just incredible
Heup seems to say the right things as usual. Mentioned a lot of variables went into his 4th down decisions and “I didn’t get any of them right.”
Putting football totally aside, Josh is just a really likeable guy unlike the head coaches who proceeded him. He does need to at the very least temporarily reset his aggressive 4th down philosophy with this team though. This offense hasn’t earned the right to go for it constantly
BTW, Tennessee does not control its own destiny in the SEC East as the babblers on CBS said. Technically only GA does. GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER!
The visual aesthetics of Neyland were marvelously glowing today on tv. That place looked extra sharp. Those CBS cameras are crisp
He isn’t full of shit for certain. But how he handles some of his weaker staff is more important than some 4th downs. He propped Banks by name but the D line by unit post game on TV. I’m not sold on Banks. I am sold on Garner. But between Martinez/Banks, he has to change something. And, you cannot do what Butch and JP did and ride the wrong QB. His call or Halzle?
Good team win and I think Josh has got the message to banks to stay aggressive on defense. Pretty clear that the play calling is to hide Milton as much as possible, just don’t know how much longer we can keep that up. OL and running game has came a long damn ways from last year.
Fair enough but if you are being accurate we can win out and still need a UF loss. So that’s not control your own destiny.
