A Question of Race: Rachel Dolezal

Depends on one's threshold for what constitutes abuse. I'd get back-handed growing up. Some say that's acceptable disciplining.

I have a wife and two girls, we go through 6 rolls a day, plus wet wipes.

 

(Asking because I'm trying to rationalize) Why someone would claim to be black, mixed, whatever when they're not? Is it a means to get folks to become more sympathetic to their cause?

 

Same reason people claim to be a veteran when they are not. Shame, perhaps. They feel guilty for being white? Perhaps they are a black person trapped in a white person's body?

Who knows, really.

But in America, nearly everyone has some "black" in them somewhere.

I find the whole matter of race to be stupid. The genetic differences are so tiny as to not even be noticeable. We are all Africans. We all come from the eastern plains of the continent.

Take Jalen Hurd, for instance. Is he black? Is he white? Is Tiger Woods Black, white or Asian?

It is all stupid and the sooner we quit worrying about it all, the better.
