Was this the storyline in 2014? 1. AJ and the girl had been FWBs for a while 2. Drae Bowles had a thing for said girl 3. AJ and girl hook up, consentually 4. Williams gets involved, somehow 5. Girl gets raped and/or gets caught with AJ 6. Girl calls Bowles, said she was raped 7. Bowles calls his dad, and eventually calls cops 8. Butch allows team to get Bowles 9. Strength coach is fired for trying to stop it Note - not saying this is what happened, but what I remember being said then.
This isn’t “at” you, VT53. But can you or anyone else explain who this was, why he wouldn’t play them, and how big of a difference did that decision make?
I got the impression today that Bowles ran into them as he was leaving the party, and took several of the girls home not just the two. That’s how he got involved. If he and the victim had a thing he down played it, or denied it. I’ve not read anything that really laid that out in court.
I meant he had a thing for her and she used it to her advantage. (Not saying this is true, just what was said at the time.)
Does anybody understand the fascination of “running a train”? Why would you want to do that with another dude?
Gotcha. That could be true. I’ve not read where the defense dove in his relationship with the accuser, and maybe they didn’t have to, as his story changed so many times it hard to find him credible.
On twitter it is being said that the accuser testified today that she didn't want to do the act but didn't say anything, so he would have no way of knowing. Like, she said something to the effect of all of that including the "no way of knowing" part. If so, my God two men's lives were derailed so unjustly.
She just said he would have no way of knowing. I am very sensitive to consent issues, but her own perspective is that he had no way of knowing she didn't want to do that. Not didn't know, had NO WAY to know.
Ya, I guess you are right. Seems like some false indications could have been present if she says he had no way to know though.
