This is such an obvious choice that I could see the University NOT doing it to piss us all off and show us whose boss.

 

I could see him or Jeff Compher being potential candidates. Give me Jurich.

 

Blackburn seems like the safest choice. Anyone else would require some amount of searching, evaluating, vetting, etc. we don't know how to do that. Blackburn is essentially the only choice.

 

Such a move would be evidence of a competent administration. We'd hired Julie Hermann or Dave Brandon before we'd hire Tom Jurich.

Not sure how a ****ey/Fulmer protégé could be worse than the Hamilton/Hart shit show.

 

Admittedly, when it comes to potential AD's, I know about as much about them as I do about Hockey coaches--which isn't a lot...but I had read good things about Blackburn before his departure from Knoxville.

 

He saved us from sanctions.

 

Honestly, the formula seems to be to hire one of the following: (a) an AD who's friends with Mark Emmert, (b) a football coach who is close friends with Mark Emmert, or (c) an AD who is close friends with Mark Emmert who will only hire coaches who are close friends with Mark Emmert.

Seems to be a formula that works...

I wonder how Tyndall's meeting with the AA went yesterday.

I assume he denied everything.

 

like Basilio said, nothing happened yesterday that made them pop him right then. not that I thought that was a possibility.

 

Even if there is a snitch after him, you still need corroboration.
