He has political Aspberger's. And trying to hide that reality behind piles of cash only made it that much more apparent.
Bill Clinton would have beaten an Obama / Hillary ticket as a write-in candidate for the Green Party.
Names I've seen for the Republicans: Mike Huckabee Chris Christie Paul Ryan Bobby Jindal Rick Perry Rick Santourum Marco Rubio Rand Paul Jeb Bush Ted Cruz Scott Walker Mitt Romney The only serious candidates the Republicans should consider, if they want to win, are Bush and Christie. Rubio, maybe, but he's probably not ready for that stage yet. The rest have serious flaws or are flash in the pan candidates, the Herman Cain types (look good for a short while, but not built for the long haul). If Santorum, Cruz or Perry get anywhere near the nomination, they should just disband as a party, or do everyone a favor and nominate Palin again just for sheer entertainment value. Romney is a decidedly mediocre national candidate. Walker has too strong of an unlikability factor and Rand Paul is just too out there to even get close to the nomination. Plus, Jindal and Huckabee are too awkward as national figures to compete in an election that is most about charisma. That leaves Bush and Christie with Republicans thinking, probably correctly, that a third Bush in three decades isn't going to go over well. I have to think it's going to be Christie, as things stand.
Makes me wonder, if Romney couldn't beat - in my opinion - one of the worse president we've had, why in the world would anyone want him to run again.
If Cruz or Santorum even get the faintest hint of the smallest whiff of the GOP nomination, it will forever sever my ties with that party.
Good or bad is merely relative to your political train of thought and matters only somewhat in political elections. Romney lost for two reasons. One, he didn't have the requisite charisma that Obama did and, two, his level of organization within his campaign was far inferior to Obama's. He doesn't have near the disadvantage in those aspects against Hillary.
I think it would be great. The man has been through a lot, internment camps during WWII to cultural rejection of his lifestyle. The man stays positive and upbeat. Awesome guy
Launch a search committee, 8th. There's got to be 3 names we haven't brought up that are more viable than most of the ones we have.
