Fauci and experts say ya. Ultimately it is your decision.

Just seems to be the opposite of what we should be doing if there is a limited number of vaccines and the goal is to really stop the virus from spreading.

People don't want to hear it, but prisons should be higher on the list for vaccines. That is where a lot of deaths and transmissions are coming from, because the prisons act like incubators and it goes out to the communities through employees, lawyers, guards, etc.

Keep in mind that elders in nursing homes have been locked in solitary confinement since this started, many living their last days that way without seeing anyone but their attendant a few times a day. It's really inhumane and cruel, I think it is appropriate to get them out of that situation ASAP.

    Fair.

It's just a shit situation that we are even having to make these decisions.

I wouldn’t. But I’d just be smart about it. Maybe I’d avoid flying

Flying is probably the safest way to travel right now.

Just seems like there would be more people contact especially at the airport. Idk.

I agree with both of you. Probably the safest, but seems like that could change on a dime while at an airport.

You need to state a Case fatality rate instead of fatality rate.

the infection fatality is no where near even a conservative 1.7%

You are correct that this would be more precise, but I have been doing it this way and it has been spot on throughout. I think the reason why it stays pretty close to accurate is because just like there are infections who don't ever become cases, there are deaths that don't actually get labeled COVID deaths at about the same rate-- as evidenced by the increase in excess deaths beyond COVID deaths.

    Most bang for you buck.

Plus they don't think the general population is going to take it at high levels due how bad the injection hurts, side effects from the vaccine, and then having to do a booster in two weeks.

Srsly how have India and other countries packed in like sardines and more germy areas seen half the deaths and downward trend?
It cant be due to masks and handwashing. So why?

Low Vitamin D seems to be one of the biggest drivers and overall metabolic health of your population.

But being being short on vitamin D also indicates poor metabolic health.

We can only really compare ourselves to peer countries: western Europe, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, etc.
