What's the trolley car thought experiment? There's a runaway trolley and it will kill 5 people, but you can pull a lever and make it kill someone else but save the 5? Seems like you would take the +4 lives option, but this is supposed to be an ethical conundrum.... Well, in this case it is choosing to not be inconvenienced to pull a level to stop a conveyer belt of the old and vulnerable from being killed. I guess.

 

I’m covid boosted. Still on the wrong side of the BMI chart so seemed prudent. Hopefully I can skip the side effects this time

 

Unless a doctor says otherwise, I think I'm good. I did see some talk about a fourth dose in the future for the Olds, so maybe this does become an annual booster thing for everybody at some point.

 

It'll burn out. It's just widely prevalent so the 4th is more important.

OSHA released their emergency standard and guidance today.

 

47 yr old mom of 3 didn't wake up 2 days ago. Concerns her booster shot that day had something to do with it. I hope not

 

While not impossible, that would be weird to have the 3rd shot be the one that she had a reaction to, in some fatal way.

One of the auditors has been sick.

Guess who has been coming to the office and WENT TO A CLIENT TODAY?

And guess who just tested positive.

 

In our present environment, being sick and still going about one's business is nuts.

 

I am never around her and am still ready to kill her.

 

Another reason to hate auditors.

 

Was she vaccinated?

 

We're going the wrong way again. I also have come to the personal conclusion that since we'll never get to the 90%s vaccinated, ever... and the spread won't be limited by vaccinated + infected, that every vaccinated person is going to have to get infected to clear this thing up for good.

 

No idea.

 

Even that won't clear it. I know of people who have had COVID, been vaccinated, and still got COVID again, and they are normal 30 something adults. Never needed hospitalization, but still.

 

I had a meeting Monday with the boss and some folks for a project that ended up getting tanked that same day. Spent all day with him. His kid tested positive, and so he wasn't in work today. Because Monday the kid looked sick as hell...

C'mon man! Standard "we just thought it was a cold."

Don't go to work sick. Remote work is super easy.
