I know. That's why I complained about the nfl. Of course he didn't intend to throw it that way. But rushed throws off your back foot tend to be ducks more than completions.
Get the **** out with this backfoot bullcrap. That is important for throws that require distance and velocity. That throw required neither and wasn't completed solely because the DE disrupted his throwing motion. His arm was hit. That was so apparent that even suggesting otherwise completely invalidates everything you've ever said.
Notice how his back leg is bent forward, indicating his weight is actually on the... front foot. Also note the #55 with his hand on Manning's arm while the ball still seems to be in his hand. And note the awesome play of the RT #74, who appears to have just executed some martial arts dodge move or something.
Peyton manning requires that to throw it over 10 yards. I guess you haven't noticed his arm ain't what it used to be. If the de disrupted his throwing motion and not Peyton that ball goes 5 yards. That was so apparent that everything else you said is completely invalidated.
Front leg is bent as well. He threw off the back foot because he released the ball too quickly. He did not complete his throwing motion because he rushed the throw. Any qb with any kind of mobility doesn't even attempt that throw.
"Even Eli would have taken the sack" http://www.nj.com/super-bowl/index....dled_in_miserable_super_bowl_performance.html This guy gets it.
