Whether or not it helps him at all, it will certainly be used. We'll likely see threads referencing it on volnation all year if Tennessee loses.
I've got a great idea. I say 8thmaxim and Dooley make a deal tonight. If we lose tomorrow Dooley has to step down at the end of the year. If he wins, we give him a raise and extension. Deal?
Excellent idea. Let's base our expectations on whether or not we are better than Mississippi State. Hell, don't stop there. Let's erect a statue of him next to the General if he can beat Kentucky and Vandy, two seasons out of three.
I looks like the deal won't be made. I tried calling precious, his secretary answered and after a conversation she told me that Coach can't talk to me. I asked why not and she said it was because he's already worked 30 hours this week and with tomorrows preparation, travel, and game time he will be well over his 40 hrs.
Gary Parish and Dan Wetzel(?) made a comment today that Dooley would be "strung out on pain killers" for this week's game, and that it was sad that his coaching future could potentially be determined by a man who might not be in the best mental state as a result. The seed has been planted... by local and national media.
