Really it’s just a huge boost for Bar Stools. Don’t know if they planned it, but it’s working for them.

Bruce Maxwell knelt during a National Anthem, then seems to have made up a story a about it.

Honestly, hadn't heard that he did that (or anyone in MLB had, for that matter) and wouldn't recognize him if I ran into him in uniform. Seems highly unlikely that a random guy in Alabama would recognize the A's catcher. Maybe this dude is more famous than I realize, though.
