... I did band and soccer.

 

Only times I've ever said anything to or against band members are:
-when the UT highstepper started half assed high stepping for about 3 yards
--stuck behind them in SEC championship game when it felt like no AC in the building. I had no idea they stood up every 10 seconds and played something. Was very annoyed. Really no need to play that much

 

Nearly every band person I've ever encountered vastly overestimated the allure and interest of people in them at football games.

 

Calbert hurt his bicep in practice today. Waiting on MRI. He was a projected started.

 

That ain't good but it's usually obvious without an mri when a tendon is completely torn

 

accepting reality would mean there was no point in all the hours and hassle.

There is a school one county over who for over a decade has made band the sole priority of the school. After football games the team is even made to kneel on their sidelines as the band returns to the field to play their 3rd set of the night. It's a complete joke to all of the other schools in East TN.
