At the very least, I'm just glad that Christie and Kasich are in over Perry.

 

That many candidates, is it going to be a cage-ladder match, losers leave the party?

Make or break for Trump? Carson? I bet Carson is going to catch hell for his gun comments (that he has, imo, failed in his attempt to backtrack on...) and Trump is going to come out way ahead or get exposed as a lightweight...

 

Ya. I don't think Perry adds substance, where as those two do. It's a better pool without a bland dude like Perry.

 

If Trump is going to fade, one would think this would be the start. He's already defied my expectations, so I don't have a clue how this goes for him.

If Trump does exceptionally well in this debate I think he as a great chance.

 

I think he has a ceiling. If he gets the most votes in the primaries it won't be a majority, and it will go got the convention floor. He'll lose there to Rubio or Walker or Bush. At that point, I can easily see Trump launch a third party campaign.

Most likely scenario is that the Republican establishment coalesces around one of those candidates before that ever happens.

 

He's going to come out guns-a-blazin' and be a Trump as he can. Curious as to how it goes over.

I honestly do not think he wants to be President, and will, at some point, just UberTrump and force people to remove him from consideration. That might be during this debate.
