Exactly. Admit they made the wrong call. Say that the NFL does not change outcomes after the final whistle. it's not as though anyone thinks they didn't screw up.

According to the former head of officiating I heard on Dan Patrick, they can overturn the call because it was a scoring play. The NFL is saying differently though.

I recall the rule being changed to scoring plays being reviewable a couple of years ago. The guys on ESPN are saying the same. Why doesn't the NFL know its own rules?

On the long flight back for the Green Bay Packers following the team’s 14-12 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, players debated going on strike or taking a knee on every play in upcoming games if the replacement referee issue isn’t solved.

That’s according to Packers guard TJ Lang, a Royal Oak native who issued an infamous anti-NFL Tweet after the game that said “** It NFL. Fine me and use the money to pay the regular refs.”

They won't strike after they have a week to calm down and focus their anger on winning Sunday. Still, I like his spirit. Now, if him and his brethren could protect the ****ing franchise QB, that would be nice, too.

My proudest moment last night was the discussion later about whether or not the Packers should've come back out for the XP. It was suggested by more than one pundit that a call was made by the Packers to return to the field as they have a stellar reputation of doing things the honorable way. Brought a smile to this cheesehead's face in the unmitigated disaster of last night.

Exactly. Don't act tough and indignant when being asked about the play when everyone, especially you, knows what happened. Just shrug your shoulders and say it's not your responsibility to make the calls, or whatever. Don't pretend you are channeling the spirit of Flutie to Phelan. What an asshole.

Casino offers refunds on Seattle-Green Bay game

LAS VEGAS—A Las Vegas casino took an unusual step Wednesday and offered refunds to gamblers who lost money when the Seattle Seahawks beat the Green Bay Packers on a controversial touchdown at the end of Monday night's game.
Derek Stevens, owner The D Las Vegas, seized on the attention being paid to the much-derided decision by replacement officials handling the NFL game and became the only casino in Las Vegas to offer refunds.

"I know exactly how it would feel if I was laying the number and I saw what happened," Stevens said. He declared himself "disgusted" with the ruling and said he just couldn't accept the outcome.

The Seahawks won 14-12 after a Packers defender and Seahawks receiver fought for the ball on a final "Hail Mary" pass play. Officials missed an offensive pass interference call and then decided there had been simultaneous catch by the two players. Under NFL rules, that gave Seattle the touchdown and the win.

Nevada gambling regulators said Stevens could make refunds if he wanted.

That was therapeutic. Been a long time since I've got to witness an absolute beatdown of a team I loathe.

Bulaga has a serious knee injury.

Does the signing of Young mean BJ Coleman gets cut?

Reminds me of the time they signed Danny Wuerffel. It's almost as if they are testing my loyalty.

BJ Coleman not looking good? no. can't be true.

    http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/218428051.html#!page=2&pageSize=10&sort=newestfirst

Coleman completed 9 of 18 passes for 100 yards with two interceptions.

One of the interceptions, which was returned for a touchdown by cornerback James Nixon, was a terrible decision. Coleman stared down receiver Jeremy Ross and threw the ball as Nixon made his break to get in front of Ross.

The other interception came when Coleman threw a fade to Ross in the corner of the end zone. The ball was underthrown and cornerback Brandon Smith leaped high and pulled in the pass.

"I thought the first one was poor," McCarthy said of Coleman. "I had a chance to talk to him. The second one was a jump ball and really didn’t give him a chance. He did some good things, but the two turnovers was obviously the black eye for B.J. Coleman."
