I laugh everytime someone uses Doug Matthews as a source. He has been bad for years in just about every aspect of everything he says.
Gruden Not Coming!! So Depressing!! On the Chris Treece show he said that former Vols coach Doug Matthews said he can say 100% Gruden is NOT coming to UT. So depressing!
I was on my way back from lunch and had Treece's show on. I was halfway paying attention and heard him say off the phone and Gruden was 100% not coming. I missed who he said it was, but when I didn't see 1000 messages on my phone, I didn't worry too much. Then I got back and saw who was saying it and just shook my head. Eagerly awaiting Matthews to say Fulmer has been contacted to come back.

If this was just based on a post by some random person on another board, I wouldn't believe it at all. But this is being said by multiple people I've come to trust over the years. Also, people have been hinting at this for a while. It also fits with certain things we've heard (such as the post on the Louisville board a long time ago). Maybe things don't work out for whatever reason, but either Gruden is planning on coaching here or this is the greatest troll job ever.
Next step, adamant denials, mixed with denunciations of the mere thought it could happen. Then, all quiet. Too quiet. Deafening silence, even. Followed by elation and celebration. 1664, IP. 1664.
When does the 8th celebration party take place? Will my employers care if I run around the office naked when this is announced publically? Who will be the first one of us Gruden files a restraining order on?
I will be a lot more patient after they announce Dooley is done. I really hope that happens Monday or Tuesday next week.
