I see a lot of misses. Seems like the ramblings of a paranoid man.

Wow if you can't see the things that were said as things that are happening now, I feel sorry for you. The America you grew up in and the one I grew up in are vastly different.

You keep saying this, but what does that actually mean? How many did he actually get right? Like I said, there are a few lucky guesses in there, but a good portion of it is stuff like "taking control of student newspapers" and "emphasize Russian history since the communist takeover". Either that, or they are culture war items at the time that were vilified by trying to taint them with brush of communism.

Some have happened; though I done see communist influence as the cause.

Some are grey; though I done see communist influence as the cause.

The majority are Flat out wrong:

3 - Develop the illusion that total disarmament by the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.
4 - Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.
8 - Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev's promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.
11 - Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces.
13 - Do away with all loyalty oaths.
15 - Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.
17 - Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
18 - Gain control of all student newspapers.
19 - Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.
20 - Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.
21 - Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.
22 - Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms."
23 - Control art critics and directors of art museums.
24 - Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.
27 - Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a "religious crutch."
28 - Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."
29 - Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.
30 - Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man."
31 - Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the "big picture." Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.
35 - Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.
36 - Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.
37 - Infiltrate and gain control of big business.
38 - Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand or treat.
39 - Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.
41 - Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.
42 - Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use "united force" to solve economic, political or social problems.
45 - Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction over nations and individuals alike.

The "communist" question aside, does anyone see any significance that many of these things, predicted 55 years ago, seem to lay out exactly what liberals have seemingly achieved?

No? I'm the only one who isn't getting conveniently entangled in matters of significantly less importance, than this?

Did some crackpot write this? No idea.
Is it proof of communist subversion? Again, no clue.

But how or why it came to be seems less important than the fact that it seems eerily accurate, on its face.

    No? I'm crazy?

Could you go through Voldad's list and explain how each of those is eerily accurate?

In fairness some of those items appear much more accurate with a foil cap affixed.

It seems "liberal" because it's really just a 1950s-60s style fear mongering anti-liberal tract disgused as an anti-communist manifesto written by a John Birch type. Now, to be fair, I think the John Birch types are the right wing equavalents of the Weathermen on the left in terms of extreme ideology.

I am surprised it wasn't written by McCarthy.

I knew immediately that it was not written by the Honorable Senator Joseph Raymond McCarthy.

First, that passage is not committed to my immediate and easily recalled memory. And second, that work does not appear in leather-bound form, and with gilded page edges, on my personal, and sizable, bookshelf.

Tenacious D The law is of supreme importance, or no importance

    Numbers 4, 8, 17, 18, 20, 21, 23, 28, 36, 39 and 42 are both inarguably true, and absolutely the singular work of liberals / socialists / closeted communists.

That's 11 out of 27 (the number VD quoted) - which is 41% by my math.

  14. Tenacious D

Tenacious D The law is of supreme importance, or no importance

Numbers 3, 11, 15, 19, 22, 24, 27, 29, 30, 31, 35 (replace FBI with NSA), 37, 41 and 45 are again (stop me of you've heard this one before) the exclusive work or advanced by liberals, both have and continue to be earnestly attempted, although not yet fully successful.

That's another 11 out of 27 (the number VD quoted) 45 - or 41%, again.

  15. Tenacious D

Tenacious D The law is of supreme importance, or no importance

For those scoring at home (hopeful that the opponents of my argument will be able to overcome their monumentally, obvious, and debilitating intellectual deficiencies to follow basic math - hope springs eternal*) - that's 22 of 27, for a whopping 82% being inarguably true, which are the exclusive advances of liberals, and which they have either successfully achieved, or have and continue to seek.

    * This part is simply me brazenly mocking IP, Un, VT53, Hat & JayVols (in anticioation of their inevitable and no doubt similarly stumbling arrival into this thread, and the lock-step march of agreement which they will undoubtedly follow down that well-worn path, off the cliffs with the rest of their lemming-esque comrades), VD, GCB and anyone else who agrees with them, as being fools for failing to see the truth of these claims, and yielding to them. It's a convenient position to take, I grant you that, but an utterly indefensible one.

Eh, he's trying too hard for me to gobble up the bait on this one. It's a bridge too far away from reality for me to comment, especially after waxing poetic about McCarthy.

I started with 4 (North Korea, Syria, and Sudan disagree) and 8 (Gorbachev and Merkel disagree); then for the rest I realized he was lumping liberals, socialist, and communist together.
