I'm not sure why the free will issue matters in relation to the justice system, unless we are discussing the death penalty. Incarceration keeps people safe from those making the wrong decisions. How they make those decisions is only relevant as to whether they are placed in prison or a mental health ward.
Exactly. It really raises questions about capital punishment, however. And while you may not have free will in the moment, you have the power to change the course of your future decisions by training your brain now.
I should have said capital punishment. You are right, it doesn't change that some people must be removed from society.

Neither. You can only carbon date organic material. A fossil is by definition mineralized and sediment isn't organic either. Other forms of radiometric dating are used.
