Anyone on here can speak to this kids character?.... I heard one or two things but not sure how reliable.
If you think he's the future, and you've got a competent senior QB to drive the train...why not give him two years in the program, and if he starts next season, he has 3 years of eligibility remaining. That's my conclusion as well plus if you believe he has potential to start and exceed, why subject him to the physical and psychological beating he'd take this year behind this sorry OL. Let the Senior take the punishment. In the big scheme for Butch, this year's W/L record while important is not as critical as the next two years.

They are protecting Blair from our offensive line? This thought about "saving" guys just doesn't make sense for me. Saban never worries about that, because as an elite recruiter, there is no need. There is always option B waiting behind him. If we are really recruiting at such a high level, there is no need to have a different mindset.
If Dobbs were that good, the coaches wouldn't be planning to have him available as a 5th year senior.
It doesn't to me either. I think the simple answer is Blair has been a bust and Dobbs isn't that good
